Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks.
Hayden started preschool last week and LOVES it! He goes twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11. He has a few friends in his class so he was excited to go with them. After the first day he wanted to go back after his nap! And I was very proud of myself that I didn't cry. He was too excited that I was so excited for him. And I know that he needs this sort of social interaction. While he has been in school I have been going for walks with Clara and my friend Katie. Her daughter is in Hayden's class so we bring our strollers along and have been enjoying the nice weather.
A couple other updates on Hayden and Clara.... Hayden got to go fishing with his dad and G & G Enger. He said he had a lot of fun and told me that "daddy caught a big fish but it slipped out of his hands." Wonder if that is their fishermen story! :) We were able to eat some walleye the next day. It was very good.
Clara started smiling Labor Day weekend. She is a very smiley girl when she is awake!
I was able to go on my first girls night out....alone...this week. Clara took a bottle wonderfully and I guess I wasn't missed too much! Jason seemed to handle it well.
Tomorrow Jason and I will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary. It is so hard to believe it's been 5 years. I am very blessed to have Jason as my husband and am so very thankful for the 2 beautiful children we have. Every night before Hayden goes to bed I ask him...."how much do I love you?" And he says..."SOOOO much.....and more!" and then he giggles. :) I thank God every night that every twist and turn in my life led me to this very place. I remember many moments in my past wondering why something didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. But now I know why. Because it wasn't meant to be...the life I have now, was!
The following song was our first dance as husband and wife.
