Auntie of the Year!!!

Last Thursday Hayden and I made the long trip down to St. James MN!  We went there so that I could babysit John and Sara while Emily worked and Scott went to coach at MN's state track meet.  Scott left on Friday at around 10:30am so for the next 12 hours I was all by myself with a 3 year old, 2 year old and 4 month old!  WOW!  It was a little hectic at times, but for the most part pretty good.  On Saturday, that is a different story.  Emily had to work until noon, so I was thinking....this is going to be a cake walk! Not so much!  John was laying around and I went over to him and he felt very warm, so I took his temp. - it was 103.7, so I gave him some tylenol and got him set up on the couch with juice, pillows, blanket etc.  A little while later he started to cry and said that his throat hurt.  I called Emily at work and we decided that he should go to the walk in clinic.  Emily's friend Kate came over to watch Hayden and Sara so that I could take John to the clinic.  Here is when it gets good.....The doctor did a throat swab to see if he had strep and  John threw up all over me!!!!!!  It was  pretty gross.  It was every where...in my purse, on my leg, all over my shoes, every where!  So I told Emily that she owed me big time - she gave me a special k bar...It was a good start, but definitely not the end of it!  But overall, it was a good weekend.  Hayden did end up getting a little fever on Monday (the day we drove home!) but is doing much better now.

It's a beautiful day in Lisbon, ND!  We are heading to the pool as soon as Hayden wakes up from his nap!  Can't wait!  Enjoy the day!

Oh my. Getting thrown up on for shizzo makes you aunt of the year.

I know it was still probably incredibly gross, but isn't it funny how it's probably not nearly as gross to you as it used to be when we were like in high school? My nephews have desensitized me to stuff like that. I have seen more than my share of projectile vomiting so now I am just 'meh' when it happens. My 16 yr old self would freaked the heck out!

I am glad it went fairly well for you!1
