When we were in the process of moving to Lisbon I was very nervous to leave my great friends in Fargo and worried I wouldn't make friends in my new home. What I didn't know was that when I started working at Hospice I would meet 3 women that would become not only some of my best friends but friends that I knew I could count on for anything. These 3 women have been there for me in so many ways...the news of the loss of my job, advice when it comes to being a mother and a wife, when my grandmother passed away...etc, etc.... Each week we try to set aside time to get together for a glass of wine, conversation and good laughs. We even call ourselves the Golden Girls. Susanne is Sophia, Ann is Dorothy, Jann is Blanche and I am Rose. If you knew us all you would definitely think we fit our characters! :)
A while back we decided we needed a girls weekend together. It finally happened this past weekend. We started out on Saturday morning by 2 of us getting a massage and 2 getting a pedicure in Fargo. We then had lunch and did some shopping. In the afternoon we headed out to Pelican Lake to Jann's cabin for the night. We ate, drank, laughed, watched a movie and had such a great time. The weather wasn't great but the company was awesome. Sunday morning we were already planning for next year. We all decided one night was just not enough so next year we will be heading out on Friday. I am already looking forward to it.
Here are some pictures of us....
