Holy Hodgepodge!!!

We have been busy lately and I am now just getting pictures loaded from my camera that were taken a long time ago. So we have lots to update!!!

Hayden and I went to Forman on a VERY sunny and VERY hot day a few weeks ago to go swimming with our friends Rachael, Anna and Michael Hoistad. We had a great time. The pool was just redone and they added a little "splash pad" for the kids. Hayden LOVED it!

Hayden is such a good eater! There isn't much he doesn't like and as long as we add barbecue sauce to it he will eat it. He also loves bathtime.

The other day I was almost convinced I had given birth to a monkey!!! This kid is into everything and climbs on anything! I seriously can turn my back to him and in seconds he is on the couch and on top of the sofa table or trying to climb into the bay window. Notice he is in the same jammies...This was the other morning and happened within an hour of each other! UGH!!! I just get tired thinking about all of the running we do after this little boy.

It's been nice lately so we have been lucky enough to enjoy it before it turns cold. Hayden loves being outside pushing his lawnmower, playing golf and picking dandolions. More outside pictures below!!

My cousin Erin got married on the 22nd in Fargo. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and enjoyed the pool and got to see a lot of family. It was the first time all 15 of us cousins were together. We did get a picture - just not on my camera.

Don't you just love the picture of Hayden eating breakfast in the hotel room. Definitely a challenge with a 1 year old! The things you take for granted when you don't have kids.

More pictures of Hayden playing outside. the middle picture cracks me up. That is his new thing...when he giggles he puts his hands over his mouth. It's pretty cute!

Hayden Update!!

It's been awhile since I have updated on what Hayden has been up to...so here is a quick update. I don't have any new pictures of him recently...I know, I know...bad mom!! But he has been up to a lot lately I wanted to let you know what he has been doing.

Hayden now.....

...says Hi and waves at least 20 million times a day...when I get him from his crib in the morning or from a nap he says hi at least 5 times.
...moos when you ask him what a cow says and barks when you ask him what a puppy says.
...says elmo...but it comes out as "mo."
...says ball
...says baby
...says "b" when he wants his blankie
...has grabbed a full corn cob off of the counter and ate it straight from the cob.
...has become a little fish...we have been able to go to the pool quite a bit lately since it has finally been nice and he LOVES that pool. I'm so glad that I am making him a pool rat! :)
...dances all the time
...golfs!!! Watch out Tiger Woods!! Grandpa Terry is happy to say the least. We took him out on the course one afternoon and he loved chasing after our golfballs. We got him a small kids set and he loves to hit balls in the back yard.
...Runs every where he goes.
...gives hugs and kisses

Golden Girls Weekend '09

When we were in the process of moving to Lisbon I was very nervous to leave my great friends in Fargo and worried I wouldn't make friends in my new home. What I didn't know was that when I started working at Hospice I would meet 3 women that would become not only some of my best friends but friends that I knew I could count on for anything. These 3 women have been there for me in so many ways...the news of the loss of my job, advice when it comes to being a mother and a wife, when my grandmother passed away...etc, etc.... Each week we try to set aside time to get together for a glass of wine, conversation and good laughs. We even call ourselves the Golden Girls. Susanne is Sophia, Ann is Dorothy, Jann is Blanche and I am Rose. If you knew us all you would definitely think we fit our characters! :)

A while back we decided we needed a girls weekend together. It finally happened this past weekend. We started out on Saturday morning by 2 of us getting a massage and 2 getting a pedicure in Fargo. We then had lunch and did some shopping. In the afternoon we headed out to Pelican Lake to Jann's cabin for the night. We ate, drank, laughed, watched a movie and had such a great time. The weather wasn't great but the company was awesome. Sunday morning we were already planning for next year. We all decided one night was just not enough so next year we will be heading out on Friday. I am already looking forward to it.

Here are some pictures of us....

Wine tasting (L-R...Susanne, Jann, Ann and Betsy)

We got a tour on Sunday morning from Jann's father-in-law, Rick.
