Summer Fun!!

Can you believe that July is almost over???  So hard to believe!  Although it's July now, we need to back it up to May on this blog.  Although I haven't been taking any classes this summer, I'm just not making the time to update this as often as I would like.  This will have to do, I guess!  Here's a quick recap!

May -
*We celebrated Mother's Day at our home with lots of family.  Hayden sang in church that day, so then everyone came over for brunch afterwards.
*Way back this Winter, my friend Kara and I decided we would start training to run the Fargo half marathon in May.  We started out our training doing really well and then the later winter weather got us really discouraged, so we decided on doing the Go Far Challenge by doing the 5k on Friday and 10k on Saturday.  After we decided against doing the half I basically quit running.  So needless to say, I was not very prepared for either run.  It was a fun time with friends, but wasn't my best effort.  The half will happen someday!
*We spent Memorial Day weekend at the lake!  Weather was not great, but we still managed to dip our toes in the water and go for a boat ride.
* We celebrated Hayden's 5th birthday with friends and family.  He had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party!

June -
*Hayden attended basketball camp, gymnastics camp and preschool camp.  For preschool camp we made a trip to the zoo for a field trip.
*We have been going to the park and pool whenever we can.
*I've been going to Ladies Night at the golf course and Jason has been going to Men's Night.
*Our Mops group toured the local dairy along with a picnic at Dead Colt Creek.
*We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday.  The kids got to go to the farm for the weekend and we met my family at the lake.  We golfed, fished, ate and spent time with my dad's siblings.
*Emily and I walked in the Run or Dye race in Fargo.  It was a lot of fun.
*Jason went on his annual golf weekend with friends.  They went to Brainerd this year.

July -
*We all spent a week at the lake around the 4th.  We saw lots of family, enjoyed boat rides, swimming and weather that could not have been more perfect!
*The week after the 4th Hayden had swimming lessons.  He will have to redo the 2nd level.  It is definitely a different feeling being on the other side of swimming lessons.  I miss those days as a lifeguard.
*We then went back to the lake this past week.  Hayden did Busy Beaver Camp through the Y in Fargo along with his friends Carson and Ellery.

We are looking forward to lots of things going up in the next month....more trips to the lake, I'm head to California for a friends wedding with my mom and friends of ours and we will get to celebrate Clara's 2nd birthday soon.  This summer is going way too fast.  Hopefully the nice weather will continue into the fall, so we can enjoy lots more things before the snow flies!
