MOA

This last weekend we went to Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Heather's.  We got there on Friday night and after a rough hour the kids did pretty good in the car.  On Saturday we went to the Mall of America and went on a bunch of rides.  Hayden had a great time and Clara loved watching everything.  We also checked out the Aquarium there as well and Hayden was in awe of the sharks, turtles and got to touch a real star fish.  We will definitely be going back to ride on even more rides!

Easter 2012

 Happy Easter (a day late)!!  We hope you had a great holiday!!  Ours was very low-key and nice.  The kids woke up to see what the Easter Bunny brought for them and then we got ready for church.  My parents came to Lisbon and joined us and then we went to my friend Susanne's for an egg hunt.  Hayden found tons of eggs and got lots of candy.  We then went home and finished making dinner.  We ate and then hung out and watched the Master's.

I took the kids to the farm the other day and we had to check out all the new baby calves!  There were calves of every color and lots to see.  Clara even made noises at the baby calves.  We always enjoy our trips to the farm! 

What we've done since....

 .... the last time I posted, Clara has started taking big tubs and Hayden loves having her to play with.  She loves splashing around in the water and we have a hard time keeping her on her butt! 

 .....I took a 3 week photography class and have been practicing with my new camera.  The class was wonderful and I learned a lot about what to do to get some better pictures.  I have been using my kids as my models and I have one that is a little more cooperative only because she can't move as fast. 

 

 ....Hayden was sick!  He wasn't as sick as he has been the last 3 years, but he did get sick.  At least it wasn't pneumonia.  And his pediatrician  said that his lungs sound great and that the nebulizers we have been doing 2 times a day have been helping!!

 

...Emily and the kids came for the weekend over my birthday.  The kids loving each other so much and I was very appreciative of them celebrating my birthday with me.  

....I turned 30!!!!  Jason had a party with friends and family and I had such a great time.  I am definitely blessed with the best friends and family in the world.  I think the next 30 are going to be even better than the first!  

....Clara got sick!  The day of my birthday she started barking and I knew it must be croup.  We brought her into the ER that night and they confirmed it was croup and that there wasn't much we could do.  That night We got no sleep!  The next day she sounded so bad and was struggling to breath, wouldn't eat and just cried.  I felt so bad for her!  So we decided to bring her back to the ER.  We found out that her white blood count had gone up quite a bit, so they gave her a shot and put her on an antibiotic.  She was doing much better within a couple of days.  

 ....Hayden participated in the Hop-A-Thon at the 4-H Carnival.  He raised money for Abuse Resource Network and they were to hop for a minute.  He giggled the entire time.

 .....Clara is CRAWLING!!!!!  Yep, she is moving all over the place.  She started about a week ago and would only go a few feet, now she is all over the place. 
....Spent lots of time outside.  It has been really night and we are loving the weather!!

 ....Trying to get Clara to sleep through the night.  She was getting up 3-5 times every night.  So, I started reading a book to see if it could give me any tips...the biggest tip so far was to put her to bed earlier.  We had been trying to keep her awake until around 7:30-8 and so we thought we would try at 7.  Nope, 6:30 is the hour that she needs to sleep!  And she has been doing sooooo much better.  Still not sleeping through the night, but only getting up once or twice.  And she is MUCH happier during the day and sleeping better during the day.  We are at least on the right track. 

 ....Clara waves HI now!! She sometimes does SOOO BIG, but that is rare! 

 ....My cousin, Ashley, came to visit us for the weekend.  It was pretty uneventful but the weather was beautiful so we were outside most of the day! 
....I've been training to run the 10k in May.  At first my goal was to do the 1/2 marathon, but I figured that I wouldn't have enough time of outside training to be ready.  I probably could have though since the weather was so nice.  But my goal is to run one in September in Detroit Lakes.  My training was going really well and then the kids got sleep and we were sleep training Clara...so between taking care of them and not getting much sleep didn't leave much energy for running.  But I am back at it and I hope to be at least somewhat prepared come May 19th. 

 ....We had our first bonfire with the Differdings and Ashley on March 31st!!  Can you believe it!!!!  I love this weather!!  Hopefully it will be a great summer!

....Hayden sang in church.  He did great!! :)

Now we are caught up....I had done a post a week or so ago and somehow lost all of it....so, here goes....
