Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

Change is inevitable, or so they say. Lately we have had a lot of change and are gearing up for HUGE changes in our lives.
On Monday, Hayden had an appointment with a pediatric allergist to get to the bottom of why he has had pneumonia 3 times. After 4 hours of tests (snot, nasal x-ray, allergy pricks, breathing and blood) he was officially diagnosed with an allergy to mold which goes hand in hand with asthma. He did very well during the 4 hours we were at the clinic and did so awesome when he had to have his back pricked several times to see if he was allergic to anything. I was very proud of him. Although he does not show signs or symptoms in his everyday activities, his doctor prescribed nebulizer treatments 2 times per day and some over the counter meds for when he has more difficulty. I am bummed that this is something that he will have to deal with for either the rest of his life or hopefully he will outgrow it and only have to deal with it for a few years. I am very aware that it could be worse and we are fortunate that he is otherwise very healthy. We go back in April for a recheck. March and April is when he has had his 3 bad episodes. I say episodes, because we previously were told that he had pneumonia, but after looking at his chest x-rays, his doctor doesn't think that it was actually pneumonia but more the asthma and probably a bad sinus infection.
Also on Monday, I found out that Sensaria, the company that I had just become an independent representative for is currently going out of business. I just started in April so I don't have a lot of time or money invested in the company but I am very sad as I use so many of the products and now they will not be available for a very long time (best case scenario if someone purchases the rights to the products) or at all. I was really enjoying this journey and I am sad to see it end so quickly.
The biggest change coming our way....We are in the process of gearing up for Baby Enger! Only a few more weeks to go! I am very anxious and physically very ready to have this baby. I go tomorrow for an appointment and I believe I will start going every week up until the baby arrives.
I've done some laundry, started laying things out to go to the hospital and mentally preparing myself for life with a 3 year old and a newborn. I am kind of starting to grieve the thought that it won't be just Hayden and me day in and day out. Obviously, we are all very excited, but I'm just worried how he will react to the fact that I will be giving my attention to someone else. I lost my job at Hospice when he was 9 months old and only had very part time jobs after that until last October, so for the majority of his life it's been us 2 hanging out.
Other things.....we went to the Redhawks game on Friday night. It was SUPER hot, but we had a great time with our friends. We then went out to the lake and enjoyed the heat. Hayden is a little fish. He jumps off the dock and likes to just wear his lifejacket and kick around in the water by himself.
Monday, Jason took part in the 3rd Annual Friends of Huntington's Disease golf tourney. He had a lot of fun golfing with his dad, brother and uncle Jeff. Even in the extreme heat! Hayden and I joined everyone for dinner that evening.
We stayed at the lake until today (Wed) and had a playdate with my friend Meg and her kids yesterday afternoon. The kids played in the sand and swam. She also took some maternity pictures of me, so I am anxious to see how they turn out. She said she only took around 750 so I'm hoping at least 1 or 2 turns out!! :) I'm sure there will be some to share here.
