Walking in a Winter Wonderland

We had our first snowfall today!  So Hayden wanted to go outside and play in the snow.  It was super deep and fluffy!  We made snow angels and ran around in it.  Lucy even enjoyed it for a little bit until she got too cold.  Lucy LOVES playing in the snow.  She has wanted to go out all day!  Hayden even tried mowing the snow.  You will notice that he gave up on that very quickly!  We leave tomorrow for St. James for Thanksgiving.  We are leaving earlier that expected due to weather.  We come home Saturday.
Have a VERY Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Attitude Adjustment

When I went scrapbooking a few weeks ago one of the girls there gave this to everyone.  She said she has 3 boys so she hung it on the wall above the toilet so that every time they went to the bathroom they would read it.  I was going through some of my things this week and found it.  It definitely came at the right moment.  I needed to read it again.  So I thought I would share it with you all.

Attitude
By Charles Swindoll
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life, to me, it is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.

Picker Treat!!!

Jason and I went out this past Saturday night for Halloween!  And we even dressed up!  I can't believe that Jason agreed to, but I think he had fun.  A few friends went out too and when he heard they were dressing up he wasn't so hesitant!  I had gotten my dress a few years ago for a decade party and resurrected it for the night.  I tie dyed Jason's shirt and my mom helped me make his bell bottoms.  We had a lot of fun.
Hayden trying on the mustache Jason was suppose to wear!

Hayden - our little golfer! :)  He was pretty excited about Halloween this year.  We went to the neighbors and a few friends in town and he walked up to their doors and said "PICKER TREAT!!!"  It was so cute!  I was a little worried the day before when I told him that he was going to be a golf for Halloween and he said, "No!  Superman!"  UGH!  Why do they get minds of their owns! :)  I told him maybe next year he could be Superman!
