Summer has officially come to an end since Labor Day has come and gone. The last weekend in August the Ransom County Fair was in Lisbon, so we went up one night and went on a bunch of rides. They had a train (HAYDEN'S FAVORITE!!!) that was frequented by a certain little boy. He could have just sat on that thing all night long. He had a huge grin on his face the whole time.
This past weekend we went to the lake and met my parents and Emily and her family. It was the last time we would all be out there for the season. The weather wasn't great, but we had fun, nonetheless. We went to Rollag for the Steamthreshers Reunion, Flea Market in Detroit Lakes, went for boat rides, made garden stones for grandma Mary with the kids' handprints and picked apples from their tree.
This coming weekend we are planning a trip to the lake - I am hoping to run a 5k in Detroit Lakes and Jason is hoping to get some golf in with my dad. It could be our last weekend out there, so we want to make the most of it.
